I decided that the illustration was looking a bit unbalanced. Growing up, my favourite princess story was ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and roses are a brilliant princess flower so I had to chuck a few of those in. I think, going in this direction, the illustration will sit much better on the page. I love adding these last minute changes to a picture that completely change it.
